Magic

Magic was born out of the Age of Faerie.

It infused and sustained, it reached beyond what could be seen or understood to tie together in symbiotic fashion, all life. Both the Word and Void sought to exercise control over it. This battle dated back to the birth of humanity – it was a struggle between shadings of light and dark; good and evil.

Not much real magic existed in areas where the Federation ruled.

The High Druid’s Blade

Magic was considered dangerous and was outlawed through the Southland wherever the Federation was in control. The prevailing view in the Highlands was that magic was best left to the Druids or left alone entirely.

The Black Elfstone

Outlawed everywhere but in the Elven country and in one or two other enclaves.
