Biography

Said to have no equal in single combat. Regardless of which weapon was being used, or even with no weapon, there was no man better. Some even said he was the best who had ever lived. There were stories about him everywhere, yet no one was sure of his origins.3The Wishsong of Shannara – p 83

He was also called other things: a mercenary with no loyalties, no responsibilities except to those who hire him. Always travelled alone and had no friends.4The Wishsong of Shannara – pp 83-84

The Weapon Master’s Choice

Less than thirty.

While camped near Tombara, he was approached by Lyriana who asked to speak with him. After sharing a meal with her, she asked him to go with her to her home city of Tajarin. Her people were being decimated by Kronswiff.

Garet said he would think about it overnight. During the night, he killed three Het mercenaries who had followed Lyriana and attacked their camp.

Upon returning to Tombara the next day, Garet made some inquiries about the Het but no one had seen or spoken to them. He and Lyriana stayed about a week and bought a pair of horses and supplies for the trip ahead.

The Wishsong of Shannara

Had many enemies and could no longer travel in to the deep Southland.5The Wishsong of Shannara – pp 83-84
