Evelyn Freemark

Evelyn Opal Freemark was the grandmother of Nest Freemark.

A small intense woman, with sharp dark eyes, soft features, grey hair.¹Running with the Demon – p 25 A no-nonsense attitude.²Running with the Demon – p 25 Laconic.

Smoke and drank continually. In her early years she would lose herself in household tasks or gardening or walks in the park. When she was older she mostly sat in the kitchen. Drank vodka and orange juice until lunch time and then after midday would swap to bourbon on the rocks until dusk.

As one of the Freemark Women, Evelyn had the use of magic.

When she saw Wraith she worked out he had been left by the Unnamed Demon so she infused all of her magic into him, changing him so that when the demon returned and Nest was in enough danger to use her magic Wraith would no longer follow the demon but would instead protect Nest. This left her without any magic and unable to defend herself when the demon actually came for her.
