The Dagda Mor was the leader of the Demons trapped beyond the Forbidding.

Basically manlike in appearance, walked upright, arms slightly longer than normal. A massive hump crooked his spine almost double at the shoulders. Tufts on greenish hair protruded all over his body, scales coated his forearms and lower legs, clawed hands and feet, a vaguely catlike muzzle, black and shining eyes, hooked teeth.1The Elfstones of Shannara – p 17

The chief of all trapped behind the Forbidding. Only a few had dared to challenge him and he had made unpleasant examples of them all. Now all feared and obeyed him.2The Elfstones of Shannara – p 18

The Dagda Mor hated with an intensity that verged on madness. Hundreds of years of captivity had given this hatred ample time to fester and grow. This hatred consumed him so much that the destruction of the Elves would not be enough to satisfy him; he wanted all races that roamed the Four Lands destroyed. He had spent his time at the wall of the Forbidding, probing it for any weaknesses, knowing that one day it would begin to fail. Knowing the history of the Ellcrys, he knew that he needed to prevent a rebirth before the Elves realised they were no longer safe. To that end, he brought two others with him.3The Elfstones of Shannara – pp 18-19

The Elfstones of Shannara

Along with the Reaper and the Changeling, the Dagda Mor broke through the Forbidding in the shadow of the Breakline , on the Hoare Flats. He brought the Staff of Power with him.4The Elfstones of Shannara – p 16

Once he had located the Changeling and the Reaper, he started them on their way to Arborlon as they needed to be there that night. Several hundred metres away from the mountains he stopped to use the Staff of Power to summon a monstrous, winged nightmare from the Northland to carry them to Arborlon.5The Elfstones of Shannara – pp 21-23
